I purchased this for my son nearly 2 years ago when he turned 5. He had seen it in a catalog & thought it was the greatest.

He kept it in its very retro-looking box under his bed with all his treasures. Very rarely did he get it out & wind it up.

Just recently, it stopped working. It must have gotten over-wound.

This is a very touchy item. It’s easy to break, so be prepared.

It’s still cool-looking, though. My son still likes it.

I agree that this is a good thing to put up on the shelf & look at (if you like that sort of thing), but don’t expect to really play with it.

These robots are so adorable, but they mean it when they say they are for older children. I wound it up once to see it in action and it broke and wouldn’t work again. And I am 35. If you want to put it on shelf and stare at it, fine. But don’t plan of seeing it in action.
